June 18 Cookies! Chocolate! Icecream! McDonald's icecream has been a nice treat, gotta love the 99 cent deal that is on right now! Dairy Queen has also been a supporter of my pregnancy!
June 3 DQ icecream! Corri and I took advantage of our pregnant status and had DQ peanut-butter cup blizzards! YUMM! SO GOOD!
June 1 BBQ! Everything BBQ, give it to me now! We have planned a week of BBQ dinners, so I'm quite excited about that!
May 6 I have been craving a strawberry Dairy Queen Sunday lately- will have to get on that soon! I have so much chocolate in the house from the shower, which has been excellent and has taken care of that craving!
April 19 Reese's peanut butter icecream was SO YUMMY tonight! Definitely hit the spot!
I haven't really had icecream cravings so I think that now that the weather is warming up, this craving will increase!
April 8 SLURPEE! I was so hot today, I nearly died after a walk at lunch. Sia saved the day by having just enough change to buy me a slurpee from 7-11! Yes, my incubator status is turning up the heat along with this mild weather! Phew!
April 4 Grapes, actually, and yogurt, more healthy stuff lately have been the flavours of the past two days. OK, yes, during a work day, cookies seem to be the number one item! Rick said the other night that he was so impressed that I haven't sent him to the store yet at night for anything. Well, that's partially because I usually buy whatever it is I want during the day, but also because my cravings haven't been out-of-control yet. Who knows, that might change soon!
March 22- 28 Goodie Rings! Enjoyed a bunch of those with Nerd this weekend,
we needed a yack session accompanied by lots of treats! Also enjoying
home-made pizza, SOO GOOOD!!
March 13 Peanut butter Oh Henry bars (the bite-size treats) have been most satisfying tonight! Also have been enjoying chocolate chip cookies lately, and of course, choco moo juice! Baby LOVES choco moo juice!!
March 2 Pretty much all food sounds awesome to me these days, but I will have to say that chocolate milk has been a staple at work. Fries was a big satisfying treat on Sat. night, man, so good!! Rick just made awesome stuffed potatoe skins to go with our awesome ham and pineapple dinner, so doing well on the excellent chow! Don't worry, am eating veggies and fruit, too! Baby is very pleased with me!
February 22 The flavours of the day were dill pickle chips and peanut butter M &Ms! It was girls' afternoon at the movies, and that was just the perfect treat combination! Throw Matthew McConaghey (or however you spell that) into the mix, and it's the ideal day! Yes, Cherie, you are 100% correct, those chips were invented for pregnant women! SO SATISFYING!!
February 15 Lettuce?? Carrots?? Birdseed?? Well, I have to rethink what I crave in accordance to what I SHOULD be eating, in the doctor's opinion! Valentine's Day at the office, of course, worked against me with cookies and chocolate everywhere!! Hmmm, let's see, actually I woke up the other morning craving my Mom's waffles with whipping cream and berry sauce. Now, that's somewhat healthy, isn't it?? The whipping cream is dairy!!
February 7 CHOCOLATE!! I have been off of chocolate for my entire pregnancy until this week! Maybe it's the fact that I'm working downtown again and have convenient access to Purdy's once again!! Peanut butter/chocolate bars and brownies are the craving of this moment! Rick bought some brownies from Thrifty's today, and OH YA, they are GOOD!!
February 1 - 5 Oatmeal raisin cookies were torturing me all weekend, so on Sunday Rick and I made a batch. Rick is the expert mixer and I'm the adder-of-the-baking-stuff. SO YUMMY! Not sure why that was a craving, just WANTED COOKIES! Ah, so rewarding!
January 19- 25 Pie!! Mom took me out for tea and bumbleberry pie in Sidney and that was YUMMY! Also craving (and eating) toasted English muffins with lots of butter and strawberry jam. Tortilla chips and salsa have been extra tasty, as well as MEAT: I actually baked a HAM with glaze and pineapple rings this week! I have never baked a significant piece of meat before!! It was awesome, if I do say so myself! Also looking forward to making spaghetti with MEATBALLS later this week, another craving that must be satisfied!!!
January 13-19
I am craving BAKED GOODS like crazy: muffins, CINNAMON BUNS (thanks Cherie for putting that into my head), and croissants. Eleanor was wonderful and took me to an awesome Italian bakery where I bought a bunch of c. buns and croissants, they were HEAVENLY!! Thank you, E!! Pickles are a constant comfort, as is yogurt. As mentioned in the journal, I have been dreaming about baking, including a chocolate layer cake. Dad's 60th birthday on Saturday was quite a highlight: Mom had baked a 5-layer chocolate cake!! Can you read my mind or what, Mom??!! You RULE!!
January 6-12
Mom and Dad (my parents) showed up last night with a bag of my favourite sweet rolls from Grandma, some cookies and fancy sweet bread. YUMMY! These will definitely help those insane moments of "I want something but I don't know what it is!" The freezer is stocked, but that won't last for long...
